Cookie Policy

Rev. March 2022

2 . TYPES OF COOKIES THAT WE USE

Both the Site and the CraneView System use “session” Cookies and “persistent” Cookies. Both types of Cookies identify you; session Cookies expire quickly (or when you log off); persistent Cookies remain on your computer or device for a specific period of time that we determine. We also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, discussed in more detail below. We do not use flash cookies, web storage, web beacons or other technologies that track your browsing history across multiple apps or websites.

Below is a summary of the usage to which we put Cookies when you use the Site and the CraneView System.

Category of Use Purpose
PreferencesTo remember your settings and preferences, like the language you prefer, and to enable you to fill out forms more easily.
AuthenticationTo locate your account information when you access the CraneView System so that you do not need to log in or otherwise verify your identity with each use.
SecurityTo enable and support our security features and to help us detect malicious activity such as account hacking.
Performance and AnalyticsTo enable us and our partners to generate analytics regarding your use of the Site and the CraneView System, to improve each of them and make each of them easier for you to use.

3 . THIRD-PARTY COOKIES THAT WE USE

Both the Site and the CraneView System use Google Analytics, which is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), to help us analyze how you interact with and use the Site and the CraneView System. Google Analytics uses Cookies to collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a return visitor, and any referring website or app. The information generated by Google Analytics will be transmitted to and stored by Google and will be subject to Google’s privacy policies. You can learn more about Google Analytics and opt-out of Google’s tracking of analytics by clicking here.

The Site also uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a piece of lightweight JavaScript code that also helps us analyze how you interact with and use the Site. The LinkedIn Insight Tag enables the collection of data including URL, referrer, IP address, device and browser characteristics (User Agent), and timestamp. The IP addresses are truncated or hashed (when used for reaching LinkedIn members across devices), and LinkedIn members’ direct identifiers are removed within seven days in order to make the data pseudonymous. This remaining pseudonymized data is then deleted within 180 days.

LinkedIn does not share the personal data of LinkedIn members with us; it only provides us with reports and alerts (which do not identify members) about our Site audience and their interactions with the Site. LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes through their account settings.

4 . YOUR ABILITY TO OPT OUT

You can learn more about Google Analytics and opt out of Google’s tracking of analytics by clicking here. You can learn more about LinkedIn settings by visiting https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/advertising/actions-that-showed-interest.

You can also learn about your options to opt-out of mobile app tracking through your device settings. For more information, see https://support.apple.com/iphone and https://support.google.com/android/.

Your browser or device may include “Do Not Track” functionality. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

Please keep in mind that, if you delete your Cookies or if you set your browser or device to decline Cookies, some functions of the Site and/or the CraneView System may not function as designed or at all.
